Built by: Weigle Orgelbau (1956) - opus 1010
In the 1950s a new Liederhalle was built in Stuttgart. A concert organ was to be installed in the main hall. However, the assignment was to build an organ that would be barely visible in the hall, with a console that could be completely removed from the stage. The Weigle company was awarded the contract. The organ has 67 stops, divided over three manuals and a pedal. Consultants during the construction were Helmut Bornefeld and Anton Nowakowskie. The architects Abel and Gutbrod designed the interior of the hall, including the organ front.
