- On May 31, 1959, a new organ was inaugurated in the Kilianskirche in Heilbronn, built by the Walcker company. It replaced an organ from 1888 by Karl Schäfer, which had been converted by Walcker in 1928 and expanded to 67 stops, divided over three manuals and pedal. The new organ had four manuals and pedal, with a total of 55 stops. Consultants were Fritz Werner, the church's organist, and Walter Lutz. Walter Supper was involved in the design of the front. In 1975, Richard Rensch carried out an overhaul.
- The organ was restored and expanded by the Lenter company in the years 2001-2002. The neo-baroque sound has been turned into a somewhat milder one. Several stops have also been replaced.
