1978 Mönch & Prachtel  new organ in old case

  • In 1903 the Link company built a new organ for the Stadtkirche of Tuttlingen. Just like the church interior, the organ front is designed entirely in Jugendstil. The organ had 37 stops and was equipped with pneumatic cone chests. The instrument was consecrated November 1st, 1903, together with the completely renovated church. In 1960 the organ was electrified by the Rensch company and expanded to 48 stops.
  • In 1974 a restoration of the church interior started. The organ was also in dire need of overhaul. The company Mönch & Prachtel built a new organ with mechanical slidier chests in the old case, in which much of Link's pipework was reused.
