- In 1968 Eberhard Tolle built a new organ for the church of Wesselburen. The old organ case of Johann Hinrich Klappmeyer's organ from 1738 was reused, as well as the old pipework still present. This concerned only a few ranks. The rest of the old organ had been replaced over time.
- Because Tolle's work did not match the original concept from 1738, it was decided to have this work reconstructed. Consultant was Hans-Martin Petersen. The work has been carried out by Rowan West. The first phase with 24 registers was put into operation in 2006. In 2011, the entire instrument was completed.
