  • The choir organ of the Abbey in Zwiefalten is housed in a beautiful baroque organ case. This case was made around 1760 by Joseph Gabler, who built an organ with two manuals and an independent pedal with a total of 23 stops. After the closure of the monastery in 1808, the main organ was sold, but the choir organ remained in the church. In 1812 the building was dedicated as a parish church. The choir organ was then placed in the organ loft on the west side. However, it was too small for the church. In 1892, the Link company built a new pneumatic instrument in the old cases with 25 stops. Some registers from the old organ were taken over.
  • In anticipation of the construction of a new main organ in 1958, the choir organ was relocated to its original location in the church. The Späth company installed a new instrument in the organ cases, again with 23 stops.
