In the Bruderklausenkirche in Liestal there was an organ from the firm Merklin & Schütze from 1866, which had been renovated to such an extent that around 1960 little of the original work was left. In 1959 a new church was built, and in 1963 the Metzler company was commissioned to build a completely new organ. The consultant was Quido Bartsch. The organ was dedicated on March 7, 1964.
