The organ case in the Evangelische Kirche in Essingen is most likely from 1668. In that year a new organ was bought for the church, after peace had been established in the city after years of war. The interior was lost over time. In 1870, the Link company placed a small interior with nine stops in the old case. This was replaced in 1979 by the current organ, also built by the Link company. Consultant was Manfred Götz. The new organ was inaugurated on April 29, 1979.
