- The Schlosskirche in Saarbrücken was used as an Evangelische Kirche from 1575 to 1987. In 1944 the church burned down completely as a result of a bomb on October 5th. As a result, the Walcker organ from 1933 was lost. The rebuilding of the church was carried out in the years 1956-1958. On March 16, 1958, the building could again be used for worship. The Karl Schuke company built a new three-manual organ. Consultant was cantor-organist Karl Rahner. The organ was inaugurated on October 18, 1959.
- The building has been empty since 1987 and is only used for concerts and for the Musikhochschule.
