In the Paulinerkirche or Universitätskirche in Leipzig there was a small choir organ, built in 1900 by the firm Julius Jann & Sohn from Dresden. The instrument has been placed in various places in the church. The organ was re-voiced in 1948 by Fritz Abend from Eule. In 1968 the Universitätskirche was closed and blown up. The small organ was demolished and stored by museum staff in May 1968. The same year, Eule bought it, restored the instrument and installed it in the meeting room (Gemeindesaal) of the Petrikirche in Leipzig in 1973. In 1994 the Gemeindesaal was demolished. Gerd-Christian Bochmann restored the organ and installed it on the choir of the Peterskirche. It was officially opened on November 19, 1995 with a first concert. The organ is still in the possession of the Grassi Museum.
