The Kreuzkirche in Dresden was destroyed on February 13, 1945 during the bombing of Dresden. The church contained a large organ by Jehmlich from 1900. After the rebuilding of the church, the Jehmlich company built a new organ in 1961-1963. Advisor on the construction was Herbert Collum, cantor-organist of the church. The instrument was overhauled by Jehmlich in 2005. In 2008, the Schwellwerk was expanded.
