- In the years 1905-1911, a new concert hall was built in Prague in Art Nouveau style after a design by Antonin Balsanek and Osvald Polivka. The hall was named Smetana Hal, and it is located within the Obecní Dům. A three manual concert organ was also built in the years 1908-1911 by the Czech organ maker Jan Tuceks from Kutna Hora. Many parts, as well as some of the work and the voicing, were not supplied by him, but by the German organ builder Heinrich Voit. Consultant was Karel Stecker from Prague.
- The organ was overhauled in the 1960s and 1961 by the company Organa Kutná Hora. The disposition was modified, several stops were replaced, a new console was added, the compass of the keyboards and pedal was increased and the organ was enlarged to four manuals. The parts were mostly supplied by the company Rieger & Kloss. Jan Bedrich Krajs was the advisor for these activities.
- In 1992 the instrument was no longer usable, and plans were made for a partial reconstruction of the original instrument. The Vleugels firm was awarded this assignment. The organ was put back into use in 1997.
