Destroyed by fire (2014)
- In 1970 John Brombaugh completed a new organ for the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lorain. The instrument was designed in a classic German style with mechanical action and slider chests. The temperament was Werckmeister III. The organ was groundbreaking for organ building in the United States. It was put into use on June 21, 1970. The instrument was not yet fully completed at the time. After it was completely finished, an inauguration concert was given by William Porter on October 12, 1970.
- On August 28, 2014, the organ was lost in a raging fire, which destroyed the church building.
