- In 1967 Walker built a large organ for the Metropolitan Cathedral in Liverpool, a modern round building. The organ is located in a concrete organ room above the Blessed Sacrament Chapel. The console is on the church floor, located in the choir of the church. The Accompanimental Organ can be played from the first manual. On May 14, 1967 the Walker organ was dedicated with a concert by Flor Peeters and Jeanne Demessieux.
- A restoration of the organ is scheduled for 2021. The work will be carried out by David Wells Organ Builders.
