- In 1903 Wilhelm Sauer built an organ with two manuals, an independent pedal and 29 stops for the Lutherkirche in Bad Harzburg. The instrument, placed in a gothic revival organ case, had pneumatic cone chests. It was donated to the church by the König family.
- In 1952, Friedrich Weißenborn changed the disposition of the Pedal and increased its compass from 27 to 30 notes. Hans-Heinz Blöss electrified the traction in 1965 and installed a new movable console. In 1970/1971 he replaced the wind chests with slider chests. However, the key and stop action remained electric. The manual compass has been increased from 54 to 56 tones.
- In 2001 Christian Scheffler completed a reconstruction of the original concept, but expanded with a third manual. The stop list of the manuals I and III, as well as that of the pedal, is almost identical to that of Sauer.
