  • On September 12, 1897, the new Linsebühlkirche was opened in Sankt Gallen, built in a Neo-Renaissance style to a design by Armin Stöcklin from Burgdorf. At the same time as the church building, an organ was also put into use, which was built by the Swiss firm Goll from Lucerne. The organ had 35 stops divided over three keyboards and pedal.
  • The company Kuhn converted the organ in 1933, based on the ideas of the new Orgelbewegung. Several romantic stops have been replaced or were moved inside the instrument. Advised by Hans Biedermann, the mechanism was also partly converted. A new mechanical console was added, but the action inside the organ remained pneumatic. On October 1, 1933, the organ was put back into use.
  • The facade was cut back in 1941. The stoplist was modified in 1960 during a renovation. After that, the instrument remained untouched. In 1989 a restoration of the church building started. The organ was also restored, again by Kuhn. However, the original instrument was now taken as the starting point. Some additions and modification from 1933 were retained, including the console. The organ was put back into use on March 29, 1992.
