In 1950 plaatste de firma Metzler een nieuw orgel in de Stadtkirche van Thun. Het instrument verving een orgel van Friedrich Goll uit 1881 met 29 stemmen, dat afgebroken is. Het Metzler-orgel werd in 1995 door dezelfde firma gereviseerd en uitgebreid met drie stemmen.
