The organ in the Église Saint-Christophe in Tourcoing was originally a work by the builders Fremat and Carlier in 1751. It was renovated and modernized in 1852 by Maximilien Van Peteghem. In 1863 Joseph Merklin made some modifications. In 1913-1914, the organ was extensively rebuilt by Georges Delmotte. The positive organ was emptied, the action pneumatized and the organ was given a romantic stoplist in French style with a Positif and a Récit in a swell box. In 1969-1970 the organ was restored by the firm Meyer-Daniellot, who restored the classical character. The action was now electrified. The old case of the positive is still empty.
