- The Silbermann organ in the Stadtkirche in Bad Lausick was originally built as a one-manual instrument for the Johanniskirche in Chemnitz. Johann Mauer moved it in 1771/1772 to the Neue Johanniskirche, built in the years 1750-1756. This church was called Paulikirche since 1875. The stop list of the manual was extended by Mauer with a Viola di Gamba 8'. In 1792 Johann Trampeli expanded the organ with an Oberwerk as second manual. Around 1855 the Vox Humana (originally from a°) was removed.
- After this, the organ remained in use until 1879. In that year the Jehmlich company from Dresden disassembled it and transferred it to the church in Auligk. The Trompete of the pedal was replaced by a Violonbass 8' and on the empty slide of the Vox Humana a Traversfloete 8' was installed. In this condition, the organ remained unchanged for a long time. In 1940 the pitch was lowered by a semitone.
- Ultimately, the instrument could not remain in Auligk either, and in 1957/1958 it was transfered to the Stadtkirche in Bad Lausick after extensive restoration by Hermann Lahmann. The stoplist has been reconstructed to the state of 1792 and the pedal has been extended with three stops on a new slider chest. In 1988 the Eule company carried out work. The temperament of the organ was modified by them in Neidhardt (1729) and the pitch was adjusted to a' = 466 Hz.
