The large organ in Pamiers Cathedral was originally built for Notre-Dame-de-la-Daurade in Toulouse, a church belonging to the city's Benedictine monastery. It was purchased for Pamiers in 1776 and transferred by Rabiny. Campardon worked on the organ in 1822, and it was restored by the Claude brothers in 1840. In 1898, Anneessens carried out a major renovation. The instrument was restored to its 1898 condition by Chauvin in 1989.
