  • On January 26, 1852, the main organ of the église Saint-Vincent-de-Paul in Paris was inaugurated. The inauguration concert was given by the church's organist, Peter Cavallo, and Louis-James-Alfred Lefebure-Wély. The organ was a work by Aristide Cavaillé-Coll. The organ case was designed by Jacques-Ignace Hittorff, the architect of the church building. The organ is constructed in two parts, on either side of a window. The crown positive consists of a fake prospect.
  • In the years 1966-1970, the Danion-Gonzalèz company renovated the organ. The system was electrified and a new console was installed, with the intention of adding a fourth manual. However, this was never installed. Furthermore, the wind facility was completely renovated and the disposition was expanded with various mixed stops. On April 3, 1970, the renovated organ was inaugurated with a concert by Jean Costa, organist of the church, and Marcel Dupré. Marc Hédelin carried out major maintenance in 1990.
  • In 2009/2010 the instrument was restored and expanded by the Bernard Dargassies company. The mechanisms have been largely renewed, and the fourth manual has been put into use as a Bombarde keyboard. Part of the registers of the Grand Orgue were used for this, including the wind chest. The inauguration took place on June 22, 2010 with a concert by Pierre Cambourian.
