The large concert organ that Schuke built for the Neues Gewandhaus in Leipzig, completed in 1977, is equipped with a fixed console and a second mobile console on stage. When the organ was completed it was the largest organ in the GDR. The organ was overhauled in 2007/2008 by the company Alexander Schuke and revoiced.
