  • In 1705 Abraham Stark completed an organ with 26 stops on two manuals and pedal for the Jacobuskerk in Prague. It replaced the old organ that was lost in the great fire of 1689. The instrument had a short octave. In 1754 Frantisek Katzer added the F sharp and G sharp, and replaced the Pedal Mixture with a Posaune 16'. In the second half of the nineteenth century the specification has been radically modified, but it is not known by whom this was done.
  • In 1906 the Prague firm Josef Cerný & Josef Rejna worked on the organ. They completed the broken octave and replaced several stops. The instrument was at this time essentially still a baroque organ, but in 1941 the company Jan Tuček from Kutná Hora built a new electro-pneumatic instrument with 75 stops in the historic organ case, designed by Bedrich Antonín Wierdermann, organist of the church. The electric console was supplied by the company Laukhuff. Two swell boxes were placed on the two galleries to the left and right of the organ.
  • The company Organa from Kutna Hora worked on the instrument in 1956. Under the influence of the German Orgelreform, they adapted he sound character into a more baroque style. Several stops were modified or replaced. The company Orgel-Krnov (Rieger-Kloss) enlarged the instrument in 1981/1982 and changed the order of the various works. Robert Ponča installed a modern combination system in 2011.
