Built by: Gottfried Silbermann (1730) - opus 27
Gottfried Silbermann built a new organ for the village church of Reinhardtsgrimma near Dresden in 1729/1730. The instrument was dedicated on January 6, 1731. It has been preserved almost without changes. In 1853 it was thoroughly restored by Karl Traugott Stoekel. He did not modify the stoplist. However, he tuned the organ in an equal temperament and added a pedal coupler. In 1910 Johannes Jahn placed a pneumatic Salicional 8' on the Oberwerk. The wind pressure was lowered by Jehmlich in 1953. In 1997 Kristian Wegscheider carried out a restoration. The Salicional has been removed.
