Year | Builder | Opus | Activity | ca. 1950 | Orgelbau Kuhn AG | reconstruction | 1982 | firma Rudolf von Beckerath | new organ in old case |
- In the year 1762-1775 the Johann Philipp and Johann Heinrich Stumm built a three-manual organ with 38 stops for the Ludwigskirche in Saarbrücken. The beautiful organ case was constructed by Jacques Gounin and Guillaume Stein. The organ was dedicated on August 25, 1775.
- The old interior was replaced in 1911 by a large pneumatic Walcker organ. In 1944 the church was largely destroyed by bombing. The organ has been lost.
- After the war, the Kuhn company rebuilt the Stumm case back to its original state, and placed a new organ in it. In 1982 this was replaced by a three-manual organ by Von Beckerath with 49 stops.
