Destroyed (1945)
Gottfried Silbermann built one of his most beautiful and largest organs for the Frauenkirche in Dresden. The instrument was inspected on November 22, 1736 and dedicated three days later. The organ was converted by the company Jahn in the years 1911/1912. In this conversion, the action was replaced by pneumatics, a swell was added and the instrument was expanded with new stops. A second renovation was completed in 1943. The swell from 1912 was relocated as Fernwerk in the dome. The action was electrified. Churches and organ were lost in bombings on February 13 and 14, 1945.
