• A new Kaiser Wilhelm Gedächtniskirche was built in 1961/1962, based on a design by Egon Eiermann, against the ruins of the old church that had been destroyed in 1943. The Schuke company supplied a large four-manual organ in 1962. Siegfried Reda was consultant for the construction.
  
• The instrument was restored by Schuke in 2005. The action was renewed. The disposition of the Schwellwerk was changed and expanded. Sub- and superoctave couplers were also installed.
