- Orgel ontworpen door Ralph Downes. Architect was Leslie Martin. De firma Flentrop werkte aan het project mee als adviseur met betrekking tot de mensurering van het pijpwerk. Het enorme orgel werd in 1954 opgeleverd, en het is gebouwd door de firma Harrison & Harrison. Er zijn vier manualen, terwijl het orgel vijf werken kent. Positive en Choir worden beiden vanaf het eerste manuaal bespeeld. Op 27 maart 1954 is het orgel in gebruik genomen met een bespeling door Ralph Downes, Arnold Richardson, Susi Jeans en George Thalben-Ball.
- De Royal Festival Hall is in de afgelopen tijd geheel gerenoveerd. In juni 2007 werd het gebouw weer in gebruik genomen. Het orgel werd slechts gedeeltelijk weer opgebouwd. In 2010 waren de financiën rond voor een restauratie en herbouw van het instrument. De restauratie werd uitgevoerd door Harrison & Harrison. Het front is enigszins aangepast. Begin 2014 kon het orgel weer in gebruik worden genomen.
