  • Duke's Hall in London was built in 1912 as a concert hall for the Royal Academy. The hall is named after the Duke of Connaught. The hall was completely restored between 1989 and 1992. For the students of the Academy there was a baroque organ in the Marylebone Church, but they lacked a French romantic instrument in the style of Cavaillé-Coll. Sir David Lumsden was hired as consultant and the Van den Heuvel firm was commissioned to build the organ. The front is derived from the front of the former concert organ in the Trocadéro Concert Hall in Paris. The console was also made entirely in the style of the French builder. On October 19, 1993, the organ was inaugurated with a concert by Daniel Roth. In 2006, the front pipes proved irreparable due to subsidence. The company Flentrop was commissioned to make new pipes.
  • In 2011 a larger organ was built for Duke's Hall. Van den Heuvel's organ was bought back by the company. The instrument was sold to Saint Aloysius' Church in Glasgow in 2014. The existing gallery had to be enlarged, after which the organ could be placed and voiced. It has been inaugurated on November 21, 2015 with a concert by Martin Baker, in collaboration with some choirs.
