Built by: firma Henry Willis & Sons (1877)
Tijdens een grote restauratie van Durham Cathedral in 1873 werd het orgel van Father Smith uit de jaren 1686-1695 afgebroken. Henry Willis leverde een nieuw instrument in 1877 met vier manualen en 55 registers. Het werd vergroot door Harrison & Harrison in 1907. In 1935 volgde een nieuwe uitbreiding. Hierbij werd het naar plannen van John Dykes Bower uitgebreid en gewijzigd. In 1969/1970 is het orgel door Harrison & Harrison gerestaureerd. Het pedaal werd nu uitgebreid met enkele stemmen en aan het orgel werd een apart Positive Organ toegevoegd, geplaatst in het zuidwesten van de kooromgang.
