  • Father Henry Willis built a three-manual organ in 1871 for the Church of Saint Stephen with All Hallows (Haverstock Hill) on Corner Pond Street in Hampstead. Two more ranks were added to the pedal in later years, namely a Violone 16' (around 1905) and a Bourdon 16' (in 1912). In 1920 the disposition was changed by Frank Wesson. On Choir, he replaced the Gemshorn 4' and Piccolo 2' with a Gamba and Voix Céleste 8'. The organ was in use until the closing of the church building in the eighties of the twentieth century. The church was subsequently demolished.
  • Around 1990 the organ was bought by Henk van Eeken and transported to the Netherlands. In 1993, he restored the organ and delivered it to the University of Gothenburg, where it was installed in the concert hall of the college 'Artisten'. This was only a temporary accommodation, because a new organ in French-romantic style was ordered for the room. In 1998, the Willis organ was placed in the Nya Örgryte Kyrka in Göteborg by Tore Johansson. Johansson reconstructed the registers that had disappeared over time, bringing the instrument back to its original state.
