Built by: John Brombaugh & Co. (1992) - opus 28
John Brombaugh is the first American organ builder to supply an instrument for Europe. In 1992 he built an organ for Haga Kyrka in Gothenburg, designed in 17th-century North German style. The facade is inspired by Marten de Mare's organ from 1611, made for the Ansgari Church in Bremen. The organ is tuned in meantone tuning, and has double upper keys for E-flat/D-sharp and G-sharp/A-flat. The Sesquialter and the Quint of the Oberwerck are operated by the same register drawer: at half position only the Quint speaks.
