Built by: Builder unknown (ca. 1775)
Returned to its owner (1968?)

  • A cabinet organ stood for some time in the Gereformeerde Kerk in Zoutkamp. It was on loan. Based on the image, it can be concluded that it concerns the organ with catalog number 384 from the publication of Dr. A.J. Gierveld. This organ is privately owned. The maker is unknown, but it was built around 1775. It originally had a tremulant, which has been removed to have a button for the division of the Holpijp. The Roerquint was also later divided. The current location of the organ is unknown.
  • The old building of the Gereformeerde Kerk in Zoutkamp from 1882 was replaced in 1967. The new church was inaugurated on April 28, 1967. The organ was not completed until 1968. It is therefore very likely that the cabinet organ was used in the intervening period. It was set up on the podium, to the left against the round corner of the back wall.
