- In 1938, the Valckx & Van Kouteren firm supplied an organ for the Gereformeerde Kerk (Reformed Church) on the Handweg in Amstelveen. The instrument had two manuals and an independent pedal, thirteen stops, pneumatic action and cone chests. The prospect was designed by architects Kuiler and Drewes from Groningen, who also designed the interior of the church. It was dedicated on May, 31 1938 with a recital by Floris Gortemulder. The previous organ of the church was transferred to the Gereformeerde Kerk in Diever.
- The Trumpet of the Swell was installed later. Around 1955 some stops were replaced. The organ was overhauled by Pels & Van Leeuwen in the years 1995-1997 under the advice of prof. F.C. Tribe. Hereby they restored the original stop list. The instrument has also been extended with a Mixture, a Basson-Hobo and a Gedekt and a Fagot on the pedal.
- The church building was closed for worship after a final service on April 7, 2013. The building will be demolished except for the facade with the tower. Apartments will be built behind the facade.
