Built by: Bakker & Timmenga (1978)

  • In 1977-1978 Bakker & TImmenga built a small organ. They used old material (wind chest and pipes) from an organ dating from the eighteenth century. The organ was first exposed at the exhibition 'Achter het Friese orgelfront' (Behind the Frisian Organ Prospect) in Leeuwarden. The organ was bought by the congregation of 'De Open Hof', Goudenregenstraat 77 in Leeuwarden, a reformed church. The instrument could be inaugurated in December 1981. Consultant in this traject was Jan Jongepier. A special feature of the organ is that the pitch can be lowered half a tone.
  • In 2014 a larger organ was installed in De Open Hof. The old organ was sold to the Reformed congregation in Dokkum. It was installed as a choir organ at the Grote Kerk in this city.
