- On March 1st, 1985 a new organ was inaugurated in the Gereformeerde Hofpleinkerk, Hofplein 13 in Middelburg. It was built by the company Blank & Zn. of Herwijnen, under consultancy of Adri Karman, Middelburg. The consultant played the organ during the inauguration. An special 'open organ day' was held on the 2nd March, with a concert by Bram Beekman in the afternoon. The decoration of the instrument with cordage is by Anneke Ruimschotel.
- The organ was overhauled by Van Rossum in 1992. Hereby the voicing was partially revised and the prepared Quint of the Hoofdwerk was installed. The temperament was modified from Werckmeister III to Kirnberger. Kees van Eersel from Goes was consultant for this work. The organ was put back into use on January 31, 1993.
- The Hofpleinkerk was taken out of service after a last church service on 2 June 2019. The congregation has been merged with this of the Nieuwe Kerk. The organ was subsequently transferred to the Nieuwe Kerk, where it will be used as a choir organ. The previous choir organ of the Nieuwe Kerk has been sold to France.
