  • In 1912 the brothers Jan and Gerrit van der Kley built an organ for the village church in Barendrecht. The organ case was designed by the architect P.A. Weeldenburg, architect in Rotterdam. The organ had pneumatic action and a cone chest. In 1962, the Verschueren company restored the organ under the advice of Dirk Jansz. Zwart. In 1968 the Vermeulen company from Overschie was commissioned for repairs. However, much has been modified in the organ. The fixed combinations were removed, the wooden register tractors replaced with plastic buttons, a few stops were replaced and a new bellow with wind motor was installed. The organ was replaced in 1994 by a new Vermeulen instrument. A lot of material from the old organ was used again, including the organ case.
  • The Vermeulen organ was built using much older material, including the prospect pipes and the Subbas 16' from the Van der Kley organ. The organ also contains pipework from Johannes J. Vollebregt from the Roman Catholic Church on the Haarstraat in Gorinchem (1865, closed in 1984) and from Pieter Flaes from the former Hersteld Lutherse Kerk of Medemblik (1879). The Unda Maris 8' of the Positive came from the Cavaillé-Coll organ of the Palace of Volksvlijt in Amsterdam from 1875, now in the Philharmonie in Haarlem. For all registers the tones fis''' and g''' were made new. Vermeulen built the organ with the work of Bätz-Witte from the period 1825-1850 as a source of inspiration. The organ case was taken over from the old organ with minor changes. Advisor was Hans van der Harst. The organ was taken into church use on November 14, 1994, after which it was officially opened on December 9, 1994.
  • In 2004 Flentrop Orgelbouw started a reconstruction of the Cavaillé-Coll organ in Haarlem. The Unda Maris was ceded following a request to Barendrecht; at this place an Aeoline 8' was placed by Flentrop Orgelbouw, originating from the organ built by this firm in 1920 in the Hervormde Kerk in Dirkshorn, where the register was placed in 1920 by Hendrik Wicher Flentrop.
  • In 2013, the organ was renovated both mechanically and sound technically by Orgelmakerij Reil in Heerde, under the advice of Cees van der Poel. On the Hoofdwerk the Mixtuur and the Trumpet were renewed, the new pipe work is made in the style of Flaes. A new Viola di Gamba has been placed on the Positive in Vollebregt style. The Positief got a new bellow under the existing Hoofdwerk and Pedaal bellows. The organ was festively opened again on November 1, 2013.
