- On August 19, 1976, the organ in the Adelaarkerk, De Jokse 17 in Leeuwarden, was inaugurated. Two days later a first organ concert was played by the consultant, Piet Post. The organ was built thanks to a donation of 100,000 guilders by a member of the congregation for the construction of a pipe organ. The church had been dedicated in 1972. The architect of the building was Mr. G. Steen.
- The Adelaarkerk was closed in 2013. The organ was transferred to De Open Hof in Leeuwarden by Bakker & Timmenga in collaboration with Henk Heideveld . In this church the organ was dedicated in April 2014. On May 11, 2014, the church building was given a new name: De Fontein.
- Although there were plans for realizing apartments in the Adelaarkerk, this could not be done. In 2021 the church building has been demolished.
