- The organ in Rottevalle was built in 1865 for the "Hervormd Gebouw Oosterkade" in Leeuwarden. This building was called "Schipperskerkje". During the construction, Van Dam used parts from a cabinet organ that had been placed in the church in 1857. Only the Principal 8' is entirely from 1865. The manual keyboard is also from the old organ.
- In 1924 it was decided to dispose of the building. The organ was sold to the Reformed congregation in Rottevalle. The transfer was made by NV Orgelfabriek v/h Van Dam. The register shields have hereby been renewed. There is a 'forto' button, which can be used for switching on the Octave 4', Octave 2' and the Cornet. The pedalboard was replaced after 1950 by another one with a compass C-h° instead of the original compass C-g°.
- In 2000/2001 Mense Ruiter carried out a restoration under the direction of Jan Jongepier. On February 24, 2001 the organ was put back into use. Jan Jongepier played the opening concert.
