  • The small organ of the Christ Ascension Church in Sittard-Vrangendael was built in 1748 by Pieter Assendelft, according to a label in the windchest. It was placed in 1769 in the Augustinian convent in Deursen. The organ was a balustrade organ with the keyboard at the rear side. A new organ was installed in Deursen in 1864 by the company F.C. Smits. The Van Assendelft organ was rebuilt in the course of the nineteenth century. The keyboard was moved to the side, and a Principal 8' was placed, for which a Mixture and a high voice had to make way. The organ remained in Deursen until 1955.
  • In March 1955 the organ was restored and expanded by Verschueren. It was then set up in the crypt of the Sint Martinuskerk in Gennep. In 1970 it was moved to the Christ Ascension Church in Sittard-Vrangendael.
  • In 2011, the company Verschueren started with a restoration of the instrument. During this restoration, the front playing was reconstructed. The disposition was also changed and the pedal keyboard was removed. Consultants during the work were Rogér van Dijk and Wim Diepenhorst. The organ was put back into use in 2012.
