- In 1968, Fonteijn & Gaal built an organ with two manuals and an independent pedal for the Johanneskerk in Leersum. Over time, the organ increasingly suffered from malfunctions, including the sagging of some front pipes and wear and tear on the mechanisms.
- A renovation by the Nijsse company was carried out in 1999. A large part of the mechanism was renewed. The disposition has also been adjusted: on the first manual the Principal 2 of the second manual was placed as Octave 2' on an extra slide. The second manual was expanded with a Nasard 3' and a Terts 1 3/5' on an extra slide. The Nasard 1 1/3' was replaced by a Flute 2'. The organ has also been re-voiced. On November 20, 1999 it was put into use again in a concert by Erik van der Heijden (organ) and Hans Zomer (bass-baritone).
