Maghiel Spiering (16-2-1868 - 21-11-1926) started an organ building in Dordrecht in 1888. The company was registered in the Chamber of Commerce in 1890. After his death in 1926, his son continued the company. The full name was "M. Spiering Dordrecht - factory of mechanical and pneumatic church, salon and concert organs". In 1930 Spiering bought the company from Harmannus Thijs. Spiering stopped its activities at the end of the 1960s.
