Gebroeders F. & A. Joris
Firmin (Zichem, 1898 - Aarschot, 1963) and Albert (Zichem. 1899 - Leuven, 1961) Joris were brothers and sons of organ builder Joseph Joris. Joseph had worked from about 1890 to about 1905 together with his brother François under the name Gebroeders Joris from Ronse. Around 1905 Joseph settled in his birthplace Zichem. After his death, his sons continued the business. Albert retired from the company around 1939/1940. After this, Firmin continued to work under his own name from his hometown of Aarschot, where he had lived since 1922.
