Alfred Schmeisser was born in 1878 as the son of Paul Schmeisser, who just took over the workplace of his father Wilhelm Eduard Schmeisser in Rochlitz. After the death of Paul in 1902, Alfred continued the family business. He died in 1957 in Rochlitz. But in 1945 his son Reinhard already had taken over the leadership of the company.
