Arie Hoogenboezem was born on May 15, 1908 in Schiedam as the son of organ builder Dirk Hoogenboezem. Arie worked with Standaart and for some time as an independent organ builder. He also worked at the Van Leeuwen company in Leiderdorp. He died on November 7, 1948 in his birthplace.
