Hans Jakob Füglister, born in 1930 in Zurich, started an organ building company in 1960 in Grimisuat in Valais (Valais) in the south of Switzerland. He initially worked alone. After his marriage to Marianne Krohn, daughter of the Danish organ maker Troels Krohn, she also joined the company. The company grew over the years to approximately six employees. Daughter Annette Füglister took over the management in 2006. Hans-Jakob died in 2012.
