Jean-Thomas Forceville was the son of organ manufacturer Jean-Baptist Forceville. He learned the trade from his father and worked as an independent organ builder in Brussels from 1739. He died during the construction of an organ for the Basilica of Saint Servatius in Grimbergen, which was completed by Jean-Baptiste Goynaut.
