Eugen Pfaff was born in Ofteringen on May 7, 1905. He worked as an organ builder at the Fr.W. Schwarz in Uberlingen. On May 1, 1955, he took over the company from the then manager Josef Schwarz (1890-1959). He continued to work under the old name, adding 'Inh. E. Pfaff'. After Eugen's death on August 7, 1977 in Überlingen, the company was continued by his son Egbert under the name Orgelbau Egbert Pfaff. Egbert Pfaff was born on July 19, 1944 in Buhlertal.
