The Berghaus Organ Company was founded by Leonard George (Len) Berghaus (July 16, 1938, Cleveland, Ohio – January 10, 2023, Bloomingdale, Illinois). He initially worked in his spare time as an organ builder, and was also a representative of Casavant. In 1967 he established himself as an independent organ builder in Buffalo, Iowa. The company moved to Bellwood, Illinois, in 1973 and became the Berghaus Organ Company. Leonard retired in 2005.
