  • William Walmsley built an organ for the Baptist Church in Maidstone in 1907. In its construction, he partly used material from an organ from the Royal Pavillion in Brighton. The organ was renovated in 1930 by R. Spurden Rutt and converted to pneumatics.
  • Around 1950 the organ was overhauled by Rest Cartwright. He electrified the action of Swell and Pedal. In 1974, Martin Cross carried out a restoration. All the pipework has been moved up and added to, to lower the pitch to a' = 440 Hz. The disposition of Great was expanded with a Fifteenth and a Mixture. Martin Cross carried out major maintenance in 2009.
