  • The Church of Saint John the Evangelist in Reading was built as an Anglican church (Church of England). In 1981 the building was sold and taken over by the Roman Catholic parish of Polish immigrants. The name of the church has been changed to Church of the Sacred Heart.
  • The organ in the church was built in 1923 by Walker & Sons. Pipework from Ingram & Co. was partly used in the construction, originating from the previous organ of the church. Upon the inaugurationn, the Choir Organ (with five stops) was still reserved, as well as some Great and Pedal registers.
